Second breakfast! They're like hobbits!
Congrats! Your first video post within the blog! (BTW, I eat second breakfast just about every day.)
What if you made second breakfast highly unappealing, like some hideous cat vitamin or anti-hairball remedy type supplement? I bet they'd get over second breakfast quite quickly then! (I'm trying to equate felines to first graders... thinking that if my kid expected a second breakfast every day and that breakfast consisted of things she despised, she'd stop asking in short order.)
Alternatively, are your cats perchance fans of catnip? Our crazy cat is a total niphead and if we give her the teensiest pinch, it zonks her out for a good couple of hours wherein she just stretches out in a sunny spot and stares fascinatedly at dust motes floating by. That would at least afford you safe passage to and from the laundry room for enough time to get a load or three cycled through...

The automatic feeder thingies are wonderful for this very reason! The cats leave me alone, with regards to food, until every third day or so.
